This is a gps track of our progress north on the bay. notice where we cut the outboard and sailed up from annapolis, you can see our progress upwind!

(not me)

At Solomons for the night to get Drunk.

running like some Somali pirate's

Traffic under the bridge was cruisin fast!

6 Knots, against the tide, under sail baby! id guess 10-15 knots wind when we were doing this.

(not me)

ran into a sailboat race near Annapolis.

Rock on!

That was quite a long trip!

So, you must have heard the blues music blaring from the shore as you sailed past Sandy Point. Did you stop for a while and enjoy the festival on Sunday afternoon?

My wife and I sailed over there on Saturday afternoon and got to hear Buddy Guy while we had an elegant supper at anchor!

Yes Dave i think it was somewhere north of 100 miles total. quite a weekend! and this was my first time ever sailing anything bigger than the 13' catamaran i used to own.

John, I believe we passed north by Sandy Point about 2-3 PM and near the middle of the bay, so we didnt hear anything going on. we had a long day at that point and were happy to just sail a close reach from the bridge there all the way home!

Great trip report! Looks like I need to add a few things for my future outings...a sombrero for additional sunblock protection and a blazer which will allow me access to the fine dining establishments

Great place to sail. I made the trip in the other direction earlier this spring,25kn wind from the north 40 degrees and 6 ft seas. Looks a lot nicer now. We also stayed at Solomons, What a neat place. We don't have anything like that here in Wisconsin
