So I finally got around to selling my 89 wing to a nice young couple with a really neat little boy. The future of sailing right there. they say "the happiest two days in a boaters life...... you know then rest. But there was a little sadness in getting rid of "Northland" I never did take it to Ocracoke, or the Chesapeake bay. Or other Places I wanted to. I had lots of fun on the boat, and in the cabin too. It sounds stupid, but it's like a friend moved away for good, or something like that. Yeah, I know you shouldn't get attached to an object. I think it's more of an attachment to all the good times on the boat, even getting beached on Dry Tortugas when the anchor failed in a sudden storm. And someday I'll sell my Ericson 32 so I can get an Ericson 38 (look them up on boats.com, you will want one too) I wonder if I'll be sad about that too. So I guesse I'll lurk here sometimes, but I'll have to figure out how to change my signature to remove the Catalina reference. My very best wishes to all of you who have helped me out in the past, or lent support.
Frank, welcome to the admiralty! Please stick around and tell us about your adventures on your Ericson 32. Rita & I looked at one when we were looking at boats, and knowing what I know now, I still think about what we could have done with it, but it looked like too much work back then.

Just go to "Profile" above, type your password, and tinker with the signature.
Frank - do to circumstances beyond our control...we may need to sell <i>WHISPER</i>, and I really understand your thought about <blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">"it's like a friend moved away for good"<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"> ..I'm not really comfortable w/ the concept...
Hey Stu, great to hear from you again Good idea on the "formerly" You know, the C34 association has one of the best and helpful websites around for information on Universal diesels. How has sailing been on the bay this year? I can't imagine what you have to pay for a slip in Taxifornia.
