I found this site while doing a search for the Canadian Pleasurecraft Operating regs:
http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/

Click the drop menu for info on any of the lakes.

Hey Dan,

Noticed you are (sometimes) at Port Albino - Do they still have a midway at Crystal Beach, or has it been torn down? - And that site is pretty cool. I wonder if th ehotspot in Lake Ontario is due t othe Nuclear Power Plant or The military stuff at Trenton. Too bad there isn't a google map overlay of the data.

Thanks. Sorry to say Crystal Beach Amusement Park is only history. We had so many good times there and often took the ferry ride from Buffalo. It has been replaced by homes; what some call "vinyl village". And now some developers from the Toronto area want to build hi-rises on the pristine beachfront. It seems they are running out of room up there. The Lake Erie bays from Buffalo to beyond Pt. Coulborne are lined with cottages, mostly american owned, so there is some friction on that subject.

My family had a cottage at Pt. Abino and I have sailed every summer there. Click on the web address in my signature for an interesting tour of my club.

To Prospector: Are you looking at the wind or temp chart, Chris?

Thats too bad, used to go down there every summer when I was a kid. I was thinking of taking my daughter down this summer. Not too many of those small town amusement parks left anymore.

I'll poke around the website a bit.
