Kind of leaves a person with an empty feeling. The boat will stay here for a few weeks while new owner arranges transpotation. I only owned the C250 a little over 4 years, but it was 1 of the most enjoyable boats I have owned. It replaced a C27WK that was destroyed by hurricane Charly almost exactly 6 years ago.
My wife just had back surgery for 3 compression fractures of unknown cause so I am busy for now helping her through recovery, but soon enough I will have to find other things to keep me busy. I plan to start shooting my handguns more often and hopefully get out for some short trips in the little motorhome. I also plan to use my HF ham radio more, get it setup in the motorhome. I have it currently ready to use as a portable station should another hurricane come by.
I will read the Association forums and maybe from time to time add a few comments.
I would also like to suggest that all of us encourage owners to become full Members of the Association and to consider running for an office. The demands are few and the benefits to others are significant. Plus that, they will find the officers are a great group of guys. Contact "Commodore" or "Russ Johnson" or any of the other officers. Nominations and elections are coming very soon.

Sorry to her about your wife's back. Best wishes for a speedy recover. Thanks for your service to the association and congratulations on the sale of your boat. Hope my goes soon. Showing it tomorrow.
Well the C250 has been gone from my dock for about a month now and I still find myself looking out there to see if it came home yet, not gonna happen. I also check the Association Forums almost daily, mostly out of habit and because I have grown to feel like I have a lot of friends here. Don't think I am going to get another boat now that my wife has been diagnosed with an early Parkinson's disorder. Her back problems were quite extensive, 7 fractures requiring 3 Kyphoplasty surgeries in about 6 weeks. She has finally recovered from all of that and is doing good. I have thoughts of perhaps a small 14 to 20 foot somethng or other. Don't want one that is sure to capsize because I have no experience with small boats. My sailing started in 1973 in Puget Sound with a Newport 30 and progressed to a Hunter Vision 32 then Catalina 27 and 250 all in Florida over the past 22 years.
So thats about it fo now........HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.......AND DON'T FORGET OUR TROOPS
Tough story, Bob, but at least you still have her. I was less lucky.
A good friend is rehabbing from three days of surgery on her back--severe scoliosis combined with MS and some other problems... As things deteriorated, she and her husband sold their 42' sailboat and bought a Fortier 26, a boat somewhat like mine. So they can still go places on the water, but without the degree of effort. She expects to be back aboard next summer--I'm routing for her! ...and for both of you!
