The Admiral has come to understand the difference between sailing and owning a boat...sailing can be defined as an activity, passion, sport, etc...while owning a boat is more of a hobby, with endless opportunities to pursue interests, curiosities and random directions...as example, we replaced some dock lines last week and for fun, instead of buying pre-made lines, we got some three-stranded line and spliced eyes into both ends for exact fit bow lines - it took a while (and a few coldies w/ some tunes)... but was that necessary? no, was it fun? yes!

After 22 years I've completed my list, well almost. My last project, for which I have all the materials/equipment, is to install mid-boom sheeting this fall or next year.
As I think about it though, the 22 year old original equipment isn't getting any younger and will need replacing so I guess maybe my work is not finished after all.
