PRETTY PENNY is for sale! She's been a good girl these last five years but it's time to move up to a larger lady, i.e up to 34'11" LOA. Thanks to the 250 forum, PP has some groovy mods:
Self-tacking foresail, 5 watt solar trickle charger, single line mainsail reefing, custom salon table, and more. Recently tuned o/b, new replacement mainsail, recent wash and wax, etc. Here's the URL to her listing in the Southern California LOG:

Hope it all works out well! Have you thought about a Freedom? Most are designed with self-tacking jibs or cat rigs for easy sail handling. They seem like the quintessential solutions for your interests.

Not a single one for sale in Southern California. The downside to a cat rigged boat: you can't hove to.

Too bad... There are all kinds of Freedoms--sloops with self-tacking jibs, cats, cat-ketches, cat-schooners,... all designed for easy handling.
