I plan to replace the masthead sheaves on my C250. Catalina Direct has an exact replacement:

http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display& product_ID=171

... but I would prefer to find one that is more UV resistant, like their alternative (but which unfortunately is about half the width of the originals):

Have any of you found a better replacement from a 3rd party source that is the same dimensions as the original?

I had 4 of the black ones with a separator and when my main halyard one cracked due to UV exposure and age I switched to two of the white kinds and removed the separator as well as reduced my halyards to main and spin.

If the blacks are indeed better, maybe 2 of them with bushings in between and alongside to take up any additional space and keep them aligned?

That's the way mine were originally with a plate divider in between them.

The originals lasted 12 years. Are you planning on keeping the boat another 12? Make life easy, go with the originals.

I pulled the old ones off my masthead today, and was about to place an order with CD. Which ones did you order? Are they this one, but supplied in black:

http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display& product_ID=171& ParentCat=407

or some other one? If a different one, which one was it?

E1316 is the product id as in your link above. Looks just like the picture except black. Wasn't sure i needed them, but i did definitely need the exit blocks and they have the black sheaves in them also, so i am going to replace all of them tomorrow.
