Just a reminder, folks, that I have a C-25 fin keel trailer that is available to rent for short-term haul-outs. I've got another thread here in the Swap Meet with a lot of the details that I'll try to copy into this one. Basically, it's available for anyone within a day's drive from Nashville, TN, maybe farther if we can work out travel details. I'll bring the trailer to you, but you supply the tow vehicle for the haul-out. Meanwhile, here's a pic of the trailer with our boat on it when I hauled it out last fall for a bottom job.
The trailer was worked on last fall. In addition to checking the brakes, a new actuator rated at 8,000 lbs was installed. It takes a 2" ball, and I have a 2" ball mount rated at 7,500 lbs., which should take care of anyone's concerns over the 2" ball question. Here's a pic of the trailer alone:
Re: the tow vehicle, depending on availability, I can rent an appropriate tow vehicle here, but the added cost will be passed along to you. (If I can rent a van, I might be able to sleep in the van some and save you motel charges.)
Here are the basic rates I put into the earlier thread: Trailer rental - $40/day, $250/week Travel expenses (meals, lodging, etc.) - actual cost (I eat cheap) My time - $120/day working, $100/day travel to/from your location Trailer delivery to/from boat - Local (up to 100 miles) $60, each add'l 50 miles $30. With gas continuing to get more expensive, I may have to revise the delivery charges. I'll try it once as stated and see how we fare.
The one weekend I'm not available coming up soon is May 14-15. I'm PRO for one of our club's regattas.
