I purchased a Chutescoop (spinnaker sock) for my asymmetrical spinnaker and tried it out for the first time this weekend. It sure makes hoisting and dousing the sail a much easier task. One problem I had was the gathered sock at the top of the sail interfered with the top of my CDI furler so when I gybed the halyard block did not gybe along with the sail. I have the spin halyard block set up forward of the furler. So I began to think of how to manufacture a spinnaker crane for my masthead. I know Catalina Direct does not offer one for the C25 so I thought I would look at their C22 & C27 cranes to get an idea of how to manufacture one. Surprise! CD now offers a C25 masthead crane that will also work on earlier model C250's that use the same C25 masthead. Price is $39.95. It also comes with two lengthened pins to accomodate the extra width this adds to the overall masthead. Guess I'll be dropping the mast again.

Thought I was on their email list. I use to get emails from them. Probably dropped me when I compared their website to something a kindergarten might have drawn up. Great company for the C25 community. Embarrassment from a web presence perspective.
