I apologize to anyone who thinks this may be off topic, however I think its worth sharing.

These 3 cm thick submarines are being built to smuggle drugs along the Columbian/Mexican coast. With navigation aids similar to what you have on your sailboat...

Fascinating... I'd watch more closely for snorkels, but I doubt any illicit subs would wander into these waters, where USN subs enter and leave Groton regularly with escorts, and the USCG has their academy and several stations. Makes things a little dull around here (except for the boardings).

Wouldn't you just love to put an RPG into one of those... Now there I go again, gettin all military... Wouldn't you just love to call in a sighting of one of those. One of my old friends usta swear by steel hulled sailboats.. saying fiberglass was not good with bullets..

I've got absolutely no desire to go to Mexico! Plenty to do and see here in the USA, safer, too. I would like to go to Canada some day. I have a cousin in Medford, OR, who just visited us. Our next trip will likely be go go there to see her. If so, we'll likely include a side trip to Seattle and Vancouver. Guess we better get our passports renewed.
