Like I said about another recent thread here . . . some people have way too much idle time.

Looks like fun, except for the drowning while getting started part. It looks like if you don't get it going, you're face down with a lot of gear on your back that's determined to keep you face down. I also noticed they had a lot of eye candy wearing it, but none of them using it. I wonder if the engine is just towed by the tube, or if it has it's own propulsion?

What if you take off and then when you are up 30' over the water realize your shorts didn't go up with you, then you don't look so cool, and the only way to get them back is to do that half-submerged zooming along move, and catch them with your teeth or like a hat, all the while suffering from whatever turbulence that thing creates and the extra drag from your love machine.

A most perplexing flaw.

The engine is towed by the tube and max height is 33 feet. The guy in the original video is just showing off. The actual learning experience looks like this...

I must be experiencing a generation gap moment as I simply don't get it. I got bored watching the video after about 1 minute. The guy learning how to use it had a blank, unenthused look on his face.

But it's only $128K, including training! That's barely the price of... ummmm...... 10 cars!

Other than proving we have the resources and freedom to create such a product - it doesn't make me proud to be an American. Would love to see the business plan - especially the exit strategy. Want a great car - go to Germany, want to go to the moon - come to America.

FOB means Freight On Board, I doubt it's made in FL, it's just shipped there from (Germany?) somewhere else.
