When I put my Harken furler on a month or so ago I also bought the Harken 7404 lead block kit which includes 3 of the 7403's. The whole system is very smooth with little friction.
I ask because I have installed the Schaefer Clear Step Lead Blocks.
They look nice in the catalog, but upon receipt they are larger than expected and look obtrusive on the boat. Quality product, easy to install and work well but I wish they offered a 3rd and smaller version.
I've ordered a Harken 7403 for comparison. Perhaps I'll share some pix of the two installed.

Yes, they are resting on the top of the loops at the base of the stanchions.
The sheaves on the Schaefer units look like they could accomodate line up to 3/8th" or even 7/16". The outside diameter is so large that they simply look out of place.
The advantage of the 7403 is that they are clamp on style which allows for adding a 4th block on the forward leg of the stern pulpit.
