I have bought a used sail for another sailboat I own and I am looking for some expertise in taking off the sail numbers. Unfortunately they are not sewn on. Anyone have experience taking off the stick on kind? I can pull the fabric part off fairly easily just don't want to use anything to take the backing off that will hurt the sail. Thanks, David B

I had my mainsail re-conditioned at Sailcare. They said that the logo and numbers had to be sewn on to survive their cleaning process. So, if you're considering having them cleaned, just don't sew them on.
