I'm getting a halfdozen or so T-shirts made up for crew on our Beer-can races. Trouble is I can't think of witty phrases to put on teh back of them.

I need your help. So far all I've got is "It's not the size of your spar, its what happens between the sheets"

I have another 5 to come up with...

"Iris"

Take a minute to register your boat with the association!!

It's what's up front that gets things going!

Giving the term "three sheets to the wind" a whole new perspective.

No viagra needed - the mast is always stable.

Wrapping sheets around our mast since 1984.

Still learning to duck when someone yells "boom!"

Still learning that a self-tailer isn't one who sews his own clothes.

We said we need WENCHES, not winches.

What part of "STARBOARD!" do you not understand?

Sailing is my drug of choice.

Sailing always lifts me up.

I like this, maybe another version could be "After Starboard, what's left?"

Another I thought up - "Working on White Sail I since 1973." (White Sail I is CYA's lowest level course which covers things like how to board a boat)

Bowman - is not just an expert in Japanese culture

Sheet happens!

Sweat, grind and rum!

Iced beer, dead ahead! (from Titanic?)

This side up (and an arrow pointing downward)

It´s not the rum. I haven´t got my sea legs off yet!

Anyone remember this one?

I like "Iced beer, dead ahead!" and "sheet happens"

How about:

Sailboat crew - a job that really blows

Blown away by sailing (or sailing blows me away)

The clewless crew (or without a clew)

I'm a luffer not a racer

With this captain, we need a swing keel

Sheet happens

when I lived aboard in DC a friend a few slips over had a mannequin that was in his cockpit - it was a female mannequin wearing a womans' wig and a t-shirt that said "Be a Real Sailor - Get Blown Offshore"
