If anyone will be visiting their C25 TR in the near future (and your mast is up,) I'm looking for the vertical measurement from the deck (or mast plate) to the center of the mast bolt.
Did you ever get an answer? I, too, have the 89 TR/Wing but she is parked on the trailer in my back yard. So I could maybe do the measurement anyway. "Center of mast bolt"...you mean the bolt holding the mast in the mast step plate housing thing? Wouldn't be much more than about 4 inches. It is 8:33pm here in the evening. I will go out in the morning and measure the above and post again.
I am taking off early today to check out progress on my blister repair/waterproofing job. I could take the measurements from the deck up. I'll see if I understand what dimension you are requesting when I get onboard. Was n ot sure why you want to center of bolt if it is a height dimension. Is it possible you are talking about center of bolt(s) to where boom attaches ? Well, you did say mast bolt, so I will look for it right above the mast plate.
I, also, may be misinterpreting your request but I did take a measurement from the bottom of my mast to the center of the bolt hole at the base of the mast. I measured exactly 1 3/16ths of an inch from the bottom edge to the bolt hole center that is used to hold the mast in the mast step.
I also took measurements earlier today. The mast plate sits on a slightly raised deck foundation which is about 1/8"-1/4" off the deck. From the bottom of the mast plate to the center of the bolt is 1 3/16".....Same as Gary's measurement. I also took another measurement if of any benenfit - From the bottom of the mast plate to the beginning of the slot in the mast plate bracket ~ 1/2".
Was up at the boat over the weekend. The measurement from the bottom edge of the mast to the center of mast bolt hole is 1 1/4", 7/8" to the bottom edge of the hole.
My machinist friend and fellow C25 owner has offered to make a gin pole for us. He recommended making a working model of the tabernacle, short mast section and gin pole "saddle" from corrugated cardboard - before beginning fabrication. This has turned out to be a bit more challenging task than first anticipated.
