My dumpster is full when I put the fenders in with all the other stuff. I cannot hang them in the area on the starboard side of the dumpster because the engine/transmission control cables are there and I have to be careful not to get stuff in the way. I guess I will re-think where I put the poles and store them in front of the starboard settee. Thanks for the ideas.
I put mine back in their normal position in the companionway when I sail in rough water. Keeps them out of the way and keeps water out of the salon.
I reverse the bottom board since my fish finder is mounted to it. No holes in the boat, it's centrally located, and when I put it back in the normal position the fish finder is safe inside the boat. No mounting or dis-mounting each time.
If I'm sailing in more protected waters I put the bottom board in (reversed) and store the rest in the quarter berth separated by a cushion, towel, spare pfd, etc...
