1987 std rig original sails and main cover for sale. Headsail is a 110 roller furling and mainsail is a partial batten catalina sail.Mainsail cover made from sunbrella in good condition.Sails are in very good condition and got replaced because I upgraded to new sails.
Asking $250 per sail and $150 for the cover. Or $600 buys them all. Buyer pays shipping. They are located in River Falls, WI.
The pictures were taken yesterday(May 16 2012). I bought new sails in '03 and these originals have been stored rolled up in my basement since then. I kept them for spares but now I'm selling Destiny my 25' std rig wing keel and don't need to keep them anymore. The luff measures 25' 8" and the foot is 12'.
Yes dustysailz you can have dibs on the 110 if Gary B doesn't want the sail because he is the first to inquire about the 110. As it says in my add I'm located in River Falls, Wi.
It's a Harken dual groove aluminum foil and I think it's a mk 1 or 0. I measured the thickness of the luff bead that slides into the furler and it's 1/4" thick. Does that help you?

I wanted to see if your main sail was still available. I just sent you an email using the email address you provided in your initial post. My main tore last weekend and I want to replace it as soon as possible. If your main is not available I want to get a new one ordered right away.
Both the mainsail and jib have been sold and I still have a sunbrella main sail cover to sell for $100 or b.o.. Two other items that I will put up for sale in the near future are a magma grill and a standing rigging set for a std. rig 25.

It is not the original mainsail cover that came with the boat and I haven't used it for 7 yrs. The velcro closure around the mast is weak but no tears and sunbrella in good shape. I would let it go for $75 plus shipping.
Just a warning about dirtbags who stiff sellers of sailing gear on swap meet forum.Jack Wadleigh from Fort Worth Texas received MY original mainsail on June 7th and after 3 weeks no check for the $315.00 he owes me. So please do not sell to this scum. It's too bad a few degenerates like him cause suspicion among the majority of honest sailors.
that's brutal dude. hopefully the cheque got lost in the mail? don't send your stuff before you have the money in hand.
pretty much everyone has an ebay account. you can gauge if they are a legit buyer or seller by exchanging ebay account names and conversing on there to check out each others feedback.
I'm always suspicious when I see someone buying or selling something and they have a very low number of posts. Fresh on the forum and no one knows a thing about them.
Did your mainsail have numbers on it. Maybe Joe or some of the other guys in the DFW area could keep an eye out for you. They have boats on several lakes in the area.
Did you try calling him?
I'm hoping this guy is OK and maybe it's just a mix-up or his check got lost in the mail.
Thanks for all the support on the forum concerning my dilemma with non-payment on MY mainsail. In response to Garys questions(who by the way bought my jib- thanks for the prompt payment!) my mainsail does have the numbers 5689 and I have tried to call this dirt bag (Jack Wadleigh) at least 40 times and all I get is voice mail. His number is 817-681-5015 and he works at micro-systems in Fort Worth if any of you would like to call this scum sucker.Joe Diver if you could help in some way it would be greatly appreciated.
