The 150% genoa I put on last year doesn't have tell-tales.

The instructions say to install them 8" - 12" back from the luff. I'm wondering if I should mount them farther back since I have a furler?

Any suggestions?

I do not know the correct answer, however, I wish I had some further back. On windy days I do not run out the jib all the way and it would be nice to have some even though the jib has a lousy shape and is less efficient compared to a hank on.

You can install as many as you want wherever you want. I have thought about putting 3 more on mine - 2 across teh foot and one behind the one I have already about halfway up the luff.

Go for it - move them back.

I put them on my old hank-on 150% as recommended and they worked good.

The package comes with a total of 14 tell-tales. I think this time I'll install them as recommended and add another row back near the center of the sail so if I only roll it out part way I can still adjust the shape accurately.
