A bungee worked for me. Unfortunately I didn't use one on the "dumpster" lid when I climbed inside and slid on my back to the transom... A puff blew the lid closed--total darkness.
If you mean support as in the bottom slides off the lip,No, you will have to make somthing to prevent that like I did but if you mean as in something to hold it open, No again but I can wedge mine open against the back stay.
Does the seat flex-like has it been cracked or weakened? Or does it just slip off the lip like in Scott's "Islander's" case? I've tightened the hinge bolts/screws and that seems to help.
