We are thinking about moving up to a Catalina 34. I'm looking for a Marine Surveyor for a potential purchase in the Westbrook, Connecticut area. Anyone have someone to recommend and/or someone to steer clear of?
Our current 1985 may be for sale soon.

Bill Stadel in Stamford worked for me -- his father designed the Greenwich 24/Catalina 25 -- so he is also from a sailing/marine architect family and is licensed, etc.

I've used Johnson Marine Surveyors (specifically Ken, the father) in Mystic. I "participated" with a clipboard and lots of questions... was pleased with his thoroughness and the report.
