These sound too good to be true, glow sticks that last "forever". The price is pretty good too.

Looks like the glow-in-the-dark stars that plastered my daughter's ceiling.and the skeleton I hang out at Halloween, just sealed in bubble wrap.. OK for some purposes, but not that bright and the light fades to a useless level in an hour or two. The video says you will be amazed if you let your eyes get fully dark adapted. It doesn't take much light once you are fully adapted. The endorsing "clubs" are just websites for North American Hunter and Fisherman magazines.

Yeah, like I said, too good to be true. I'd like to see some real data, as in lumens, as opposed to "dark adapted". Plus the whole pitch sounds like "restructured water" or other faux manufacturing processes. I'd like to have one of these, just to test with, but I suspect it'd fall far short of the claims. They claim to use some sort of "rare earth" called uropium but I suspect they mean europium, which I can only find listed for sale on Alibaba.com. It does have fluorescent properties according to Wikipedia, but since they can't even spell it right, (or strontium about half the time), it's pretty suspect.

Our marina added strips of similar stuff to parking blocks by the head/showers a couple of years ago, but they were invisible by midnight. They finally put in a smaller lamp post style fixture with a yellow bug bulb and solar LED garden lights by the trip hazards - big improvement.

The way I figure, everything made in China has cadmium in it. Aside from plutonium, I think cadmium is the most toxic metal.

W-M has solar-light cleats. The ad claims they use 5 ultra-super-duper bright LEDs in each. To me, I cannot imagine why anybody would need such an adornment on their boat. But that's just me.
