SO ... the helicopter flies over real close and LOW and takes a picture of us sailing and the pontoon on the helicopter says "boatpic.com" and I go to the webpage.
The first page asks for information to make an "Inquiry" to show if they have a picture of my boat. The next page asks for everything about me.. Boat reg number, name, address, phone, email, ( and will not submit unless all fields are entered ), and the third page asks for my visa number...
All before you can even see your possible image. They sell a 16x20 for $250. $500 for the digital file copyright free. $700 for 2 files and $1000 for all files they took.
I feel violated. Talk about data mining..
This borders on surveillance.... and should be illegal.
But anyhoo.. interesting business model.. Is this a nationwide company?
