Sat on the shore yesterday and counted 19 sailboats out enjoying the great day-made me miss my boat and wishing I was out there with them. We are on a two-month RV trip to visit family. Currently we are parked at Illinois Beach State Park on Lake Michigan. Had a great time with the grandkids (4) on the beach. Water was warm (Lake Michigan standards) wind was steady from the southeast, I guess about 15 to 20. Seas were 2 to 3 feet. We did some stunt kite flying, until it hit the ground one too many times. One 13-year-old grand daughter took to it quickly. I managed to get a Wright Flyer kite to stay up-first time in three years since I bought it.
