Ok, finally selling my house and have to have it cleared before Monday night. Found a very good main and a good jib in my garage, along with the original curtain burner. Free to a good boat. Must pick up, sorry no time for shipping, too much to do!

Congratulations on selling the house. God knows it's almost impossible to do these days.
Good luck in the new place. Wish I were driving to our Waltham office on Monday but I can't come up with any believable excuse to go there. It's about 3 hours from here both ways so I can't make the trip this weekend.
If you happen to be driving through CT on I-95 this week, if nobody claims it in person first, let's meet up. I'll buy you lunch/dinner.

Ah ha! Ah, the old place is a house, the new place has been my C&C 39 for the past five years... Finally got around to selling the house... Sorry for the short notice, I forgot I had these kicking around... oh well, we'll see what happens...

I fly back to Florida on Tuesday, so pressed for time...

Just in case it's meaningful to someone: Tall or standard? % size of jib? Hank-on or roller? (I think I can guess the last one--no need to tell me to bite my tongue. )

If you change your mind on the shipping, I really need a good main, standard rig. Mine is pretty blown out....works of course, but induces more weather helm than necessary. I also could use another jib....mine is small and of unknown origin....even Eddy commented that he thought it was a C22 jib.....

My bad, standard rig, not sure about the jib. Roller furling, 110 probably... Just no easy way with my schedule to ship... I'll see what I can do if an easier option doesn't become available...

Anyone in the Tampa St. Pete area - I could put it on the plane for $50 -

Yeah, I think this place works! Posted one day and gone the next. I would've hated to throw them away. I had to pull the curtain burner out of the trash for Ken! Sails went as well as a bunch of antique crap I didn't get rid of during round one five years ago.

Sorry about no shipping. Just no time to go anywhere! Metal guys just picked up the file cabinets, and I'm off to Logan and warmer weather. Thanks guys!

Yup - I grabbed the sails from Sten. The jib is a hank-on though, and I won't be using it. It does not have the hanks but does have the "grommets" in the sail for the hanks.

It appears to be in reasonably good shape - anyone want it, I will ship it for shipping costs.

Haven't examined the main closely yet, it appears to be a "younger" number than my current 1983 vintage.

Thanks again Sten

Joe,

I'm going to be in Denton from the 4th to the 7th. I've got a 110 and 150 that are both in decent condition I MIGHT be willing to sell. I've got a furler now and haven't used them since May of last year.

They appear to be original to the boat but don't appear to have been used that much (The PO said the boat had been sitting unused for a 2 or 3 years before he bought it). They are not new however. Both are hank-on's and could probably use a good cleaning.

There are no problems with the 110 that I'm aware of.

The 150 has a small area along the leach that will need to be re-stitched where the leach line got caught on the rigging and pulled the threads loose. The sail is not torn, just stitching. If you paid more than $50 to get it repaired you would be getting ripped off in my opinion.

If you're interested I can bring them along and you can take a look at them and make me an offer.

Sorry guys, been away for a few days....

Thanks Gary....I would be interested in the 150....but I was responding to the "free" or "cost of shipping sails".....I'm too strapped for cash right now after a couple $700+ summer electric bills and nearly $300 water bills....it's going to take me a couple months to get my cash reserves back up....and I'm not willing to dip into savings for the boat....just a discipline thing.

At this time I would not be able to offer you more than $100 for it and I don't want to insult you or waste your time over it....but thanks for thinking of me!

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Been busy at work and building a new computer (smoking fast).

I totally understand where you're coming from on the cash. $400+ electric bills the past several months although water hasn't been around $60.00. I'm still trying to recover from a vacation in July.

If your situation changes in the next month or so let me know as I will be back in Denton at Thanksgiving.

Actually, by that time there's a good chance I may put Andiamo up for sale if you're interested in an '89. Can't decide for sure what I want to do but it's definitely on my radar. We've got some major house remodeling we need to do so may want to sell and have the extra cash available.

Comes with 2 extra sails for free!!!

Welcome to Texas and a 28 year old A/C system. This is the last year for this system as it's getting replaced next spring.

Lose the land anchor! $40 a month for juice running the ac 24/7... $10 a foot rent. Living aboard, priceless!

That won't work for 250 lb guy and his wife on a 25' sailboat!

Might lose the wife if I tried to convince her to live on the C25 and I don't want that to happen. Replacement AC would be cheaper!
