I did a search for auto pilot on the forum and got no results. I am thinking of the Simrad TP 10 but one store said "Discontinued". I wonder if Simrad is discontinuing the TP 10 or is that store is no longer carring the TP10.
I hear a lot of problems with the Autohelm leaking?
Any advice and where is the best price on a good auto pilot for the Catalina 25?
Thanks NCBrew

I spent most of my money on boats and beer, the rest I just wasted.
Everything I've ever read about the TP-10 is it doesn't hold up well whether on a C22 or C25. At least not out in bigger water than a lake. I believe the next size up is a TP-20 and I've heard they did OK.
The ST2000 would be a good unit too.
This is all based on what I've read, I have no actual experience with any of these units.
I use the ST1000+, and I love it. NO I've not interfaced it to (anything) but am told you can... out of the box, with no additional things needed, it hooked up and started working. Now it's my extra pair of hands, as I single hand frequently. I figure it works well enough for the Capri 25, it'll work nicely for the Cat 25.
Only thing I can tell, is when you get drastic changes in wind direction/power, it takes a second (about 1-2) to settle in on course correction (they all seem to do this)... and you can set the sensitivity to this of course, but generally speaking it can be an unnerving couple seconds headed into the wind, or worse deeper... depending on how the gust gets you.
