Thumbing through this months edition of BoatUs Magazine I see that Jeppesen just rolled out a new version of it's data delivery for C-Map.

They've also just rolled out a new product called Plan2Nav for Android platforms. It comes in an Apple version too.

I haven't downloaded it yet, just thought I'd let everyone know about it.

Installed the app today, first look is pretty good.
Detailed map for our area is $30. But reading their description, they sound very good.

Issues so far are ref the availability of the maps.
The booklet states that we can download previously purchased maps from the cloud "to the same device". As that is a mobile device, failure/ loss is a reality. It could be expensive to replace. I have sent an email to them asking about that.

I took a brief look at it after downloading it the other night. Looks pretty good although it shows my marina with the old dock layout which changed a couple of years ago when they rebuilt the docks after Hurricane Ike.

Gary, did you buy a map?

My view only shows the base map which does not seem to show anything except yellow blobs of land, and if I zoom in to Biscayne Bay, it does not even show Elliott Key!

Yes, I think it was $27.99 and looks like a regular marine chart when viewed on my Motorola Zoom tablet.

At first I could only find charts for the lakes in Texas but I finally found the entire Gulf Coast including the bays under I believe it was the Caribbean chart.
