Problem is, I can't remember where I hid it!
I've had my GoPro Hero for about 2 years, It was a gift and I originally was going to use it on the boat, but ended up using it on my Motorcycle instead. I love it, however a couple of items I ran into, The battery it came with did not have great life, so I purchased a backup battery I think it was around $20.00, and I had the quality settings to high for my home PC (playback was choppy) When I kicked it down a notch, I have no problems. I love the fact that I can purchase accessories so cheaply, I've bought their mount package $20, and now have different mounts all over my bike & helmet. If I want a different angle all I do is slide it out of one mount to another. I plan on using an extension pole next summer for sailing pictures or hooking it to my kite for great movies of the boat sailing. Hoping for the remote attachment to update my camera ($70) this birthday!
Here's an update on my first use of the GoPro 3 Black Edition. A friend had a new cement driveway poured - so I lent him the camera. We set it at one photo every ten seconds. Unfortunately the battery died after about 90 minutes, hence only half the job was recorded.
So far, (other than having to learn all of the layers of menus) no problems using the camera.
Check out this video from the back of an eagle. Near the end when flying over some people you can see the shadow of this eagle on the ground. The wing span is huge!
Yepper.. that 60 minutes program confirmed what I had always suspected.. Somebody figured it out. The gopro is what a professional photog would do with a budget.
I've learned a little in a lot years, and I use some very basic rules help keep it interesting:
limit scenes to 20-30 seconds max. Limit the finished video to 10 minutes max; most videos are better at 3-5 minutes. (We were probably fortunate to only have 4 minutes reels in the days of 8 mm film.) Include some people and animal scenes. Static scenes should be very limited. Stick primarily to cut and fade transitions unless another transition actually enhances the story. Shoot a lot and trash a lot.
