Had an amazing time at the sixth annual Havasu Pocket Cruisers Convention in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Lots to tell about. Early Bird BBQ at Steamboat Cove, Lectures, Fun races, and so much more. Met lots of folks, made new friends and POCs for that next trailering adventure. Here are some photos... more to come.

Looking forward to your story, report and photo's Charlie... too bad that through circumstances we missed the event this year. It certainly is a worthwhile convention...

BTW Did you stay in the boat?... hotel?... did you beach the boat overnight?.. did lots of sailing?... beaching the boat looks pretty convenient judging from the photo

Hi Henk, I looked for you at the convention but there were a lot of white haired guys with beards! Missed seeing you and Johanna. Still loading photos as time allows. I'll go back and add captions later.

I got to Havasu on Saturday afternoon (I had delivered the boat to the marina the weekend before), stocked the boat with provisions, got the boat ready, and then spent the night on the boat at the marina. The next day I motored and sailed the seven miles south to Steamboat Cove. BBQ Dave fixed everyone (50 or so) a great barbeque dinner and free beer from the local brewery sponsor. Spent that night at the cove then motored back in light rain to the marina. Checked into London Bridge Resort, got my slip there and registered at the convention HQ.

to be continued...

I've always wanted to do the Pocket Cruiser thing at Havasu... looks like a blast. Now that I am a deep fin, I'm thinking it'd be a bit of a pain. You know that, and the 2700mile drive!
