I am looking for some used hardware for my C-25. I need the hardware for both port and starboard upper shrouds. These include the following for each side:
locking nut turn buckles (prefer closed body) Lock nut T-bolts with toggles Clevis Pins with washer and cotter pin
Image shows open turn buckles, I prefer closed body turnbuckles.
This image shows closed turn buckles that are on my forward and aft shrouds.
Will accept partials if you only have part of this list. Must be in good condition. Its going on my family boat..... Thanks R

"if we get lost, we'll just pull in somewhere and ask directions."
I need two, however depending on your price, maybe one more as a spare. Do you also have the t-bolt assy that connects between the deck pin and this turnbuckle? I need two of those, as well.
If Ape-X can't help you, I've got several open turnbuckles with the parts you show above. Email me at pilcherd at bellsouth dot net and we'll work something out. They were spares for the c-25 I sold last year.

It's nice to be able to just pull up the SS sleeve, inspect/clean/lubricate, and slide it back down without dealing with redoing a bunch of rigging tape. Is there something I'm missing here?

Closed-bodies are typically stainless steel, which makes them prone to galling. They don't self-clean in the rain (or with a hose). They are "locked" with nuts that secretly unlock themselves. Their adjustment (especially when the nuts unlock) is not visible (unless you put a paint stripe on the threads). I've had them on a different boat--never again.
Most open-bodies (OEM on some C-25s and sold by CD) are bronze, and when you lock them with soft bronze cotter pins that wrap nicely around the body, no rigging tape is necessary (or desirable IMHO). No galling, and rain or hosing down keeps them clean, so they're essentially maintenance-free for the season. And if you do choose to use lock-nuts so you can change your rig tune, you can always see the adjustment (like before the mast somes down when a lock nut unlocks).
Whatever floats your boat (and keeps the stick up)...
I was assuming that the "closed body" turnbuckles that he was referring to were the ones that Catalina supplies (and which CD disses), with a bronze bar stock, locked with cotter pins, and covered with a SS sleeve. No locknuts on those. You are correct, they are not closed body, they are just covered with a sleeve. Sorry for the confusion:
Nope. Closed body turnbuckle, as shown in a picture that I posted previously. They may be prone to problems, however the reason I wanted them was because that is what I have on my lower shrouds and wanted to keep them all looking the same.
I do have another queston, tho.... Do any of you use PVC pipe to cover the lower part of the shrouds. I am thinking of doing this to mine, similar to my Catalina 22.

Received the package today. They look GREAT ! ! ! Thank you so much ! ! !
Yes, PVC pipe works great, especially on the forward lowers. You will need a larger size than on the C-22, in order to get over the larger turnbuckles.
I intended on using Schedule 40 3/4 inch PVC pipe on my shrouds. All of them. Here is a picture of my C-22 with this setup. Yes. I have 5ft PVC pipes covering all the shrouds. Works like a CHAMP on protecting my Genoa.
