Considering purchasing this trailer. The owner says it's 30' long, rated for 8500lbs capacity, torsion axles, surge brakes, and in very good working order. It's a 2007 EZ loader galvanized, and the price is extremely reasonable. I know some mods are necessary to carry a 25' SK (keel rest, possibly different bunks, etc), and fortunately everything is adjustable on this trailer. My question is: should I be concerned that it's a lot longer than needed? I'm thinking the extra length may negate me needing to get an extension for use on the ramp. Any thing else I should consider?

You are correct, but assuming they are 5k axles then the capacity would seem right given the weight of the trailer. My only real concern is that the trailer is designed for a somewhat longer hull than the C25. This is from the manufacturer's web site:
I never measured my trailer but i'd bet it's close to 30' although it has lighter weight axles. It has a short extension also. I like the longer length. Just have to be careful when turning the corner.
The longer length just means the boat will ride farther back from the tow vehicle which should make it easier to tow.
I checked my trailer that was built to haul my C25 by 'Loadmaster'. The Axle capacity is 10,600# but load capacity is 8,500#. It is just under 30 feet long total and works real well. The portion of the trailer behind the axles goes almost to the transom. That makes it real easy to tie down which also helps to stiffen the trailer.
Thanks folks. I also found a guy very near me that has a factory trailer for a C25 SK. Unfortunately he didn't want to sell it, but I'll be able to get exact measurements for all the critical parts and spacing.

I need top make sure my bunks properly support my boat when I pull it out later this month or in June. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
I just acquired a c-25 SK on a nice trailer. Let me know if you want me to post pictures and measurements of this trailer. It is a tandem axle trailer with a nicely done tongue extension.

Thanks. I made arrangements today to go measure the factory trailer I found near my house. I had actually spoken with Bill, and had planned to drive up and look at the SK C25 you ended up buying! I was debating buying it just to get the trailer but was really hesitant to take on a second boat. Then I ended up with an emergency that kept me from making the trip anyway. Good luck with it, you got a heck of a deal!
