What a great day. Got Poky launched and no one got killed.
Motor started on 4th pull and sounds strong. One issue, when you shift the gear to forward it holds for a while then kicks back into neutral. Reverse holds fine. A little awkward for pulling in the slip.
Any ideas?

It would be helpful to know what kind of motor. I had a similar issue on my Tohatsu 9.8 a few years ago. I had to adjust a loose linkage connection. The linkage didn't move all the way into position. It was pretty clear when I took off the motor cover and watched the linkage move as I shifted the lever.
Anyway, congratulations on the launch and, you know, nobody dying.
The linkage has a stop that is mounted on the linkage rod that runs exposed down the back of the main shaft. It is adjusted with a phillips screwdriver that clamps onto the stop. That just needs to be adjusted.
Nissan and Tohatsu motors are the same except for the brand on the cowling.
