which oil is recommended to use on Universal dieselM-12 engine.Catalina 86

Delo or Rotella. Your choice of straight 30W or 10 to 15W-40. Make sure it's diesel engine rated, I think they're up to CJ now. I strongly urge you to avoid synthetics. Tends to attack seals, not good, especially for the oil pan seals. I've had 15 ears of experience with our 1986 M25, similar engine.
