I have been remiss in dealing with this, but will attempt to do so now... I recently asked Glen how Renzo was doing, only to sadly hear that he has unfurled the Genny and set sail for better places after losing his battle with cancer... Glen had an interesting idea for this site. A sailed on section... A place to honor members lost and keep current...
I really liked Renzo, but sadly only met him once in West Palm Beach. But then again, those of you whom I have been lucky enough to link up with in my travels, I probably won't see again anyway, but I liked Glen's idea...
Tough to hear... Nice idea... But having had experience with the cancer end-game (not my own), I suspect getting the news to a forum like this will not be on the minds of family members and friends unless one of them is also involved here, which is not very common.
Sorry to hear. I'm reminded more and more that we all come and we all go, but it's the time we spend in between. I enjoyed the time he spent here. And I think a good idea Sten. It might not get used that much, but it'd be nice..
Maybe a field could be added when you are joining the forum that would include an email address for a spouse. If someone is known to be sick and is not heard from in a while the forum powers that be could contact the spouse via the alternate email address to see how the person is doing.
