Good catch. I can't imagine 1200 lbs affecting the waterline on a 49' cruising boat causing it to ride low in the water.

Yeah, as a cruiser I know I carry at least that much in extra poundage... Of course, the PO raised the waterline 3" a long time ago...

There you go--just paint a higher waterline before you smuggle a ton of coke. Who knows what your freeboard is supposed to be...
