I have just purchased a 2009 C250 MKII Wing Keel and I need to build a custom trailer for it. I have chosen Loadmaster in Port Clinton, OH 43452.
Now I am trying to locate a MKII with Wing Keel on the hard close to them so that they can take the required outside measurements to custom build a new trailer.
Based on the measurement guide that I received from Loadmaster and knowing some of the differences in hull shape between an MKI and MKII it would appear that its best that I locate an MKII on the hard near them if possible.
In case others might chime in, I have already ruled out the Road King, Trail N Sail as it is a bench style trailer and I require screw pads so that I can work on the entire hull such as applying new bottom paint. Where the boat will be located we have no hoist and the trailer will be required to not only lanuch the boat but also to raise the mast, winter storage and as indicated where all exterior hull maintenance will be performed.
I personally am over 2500mi away from where the boat currently resides. It is over 600mi away from the Loadmaster factory. So both parties are too far to go and measure the actual boat. I would prefer Loadmaster themselves be able to take the measurements they require. I am somewhat uneasy trying to find someone at the current marina perform the measurements as there are a lot to perform and some rather tricky. I can't afford to have the wrong measurements due to my distance from where the boat resides. I need to have no issues with the new trailer.
The owners directory is not working so not only can I not register myself as a new owner but I am also unable to perform a dynamic search to try and locate a MKII near them.
If anyone knows of an MKII with wing keel near Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 that we could perform some outside measurements that would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I don't have a MKII and my boat is still in the water but, my trailer is about 50 miles east of Port Clinton (in Lorain, Oh) and they would be welcome to take measurements of the trailer.
John, greatly appreciated. I have decided to use air miles and have booked a trip next week to go to Lake Champlain where the boat resides and take the measurements myself. I will pass on your gracious offer to Loadmaster in case they want to doublecheck my measurements. If so, we can connect offline to get directions.
I figure I would get a positive response on this forum. The C250 is the perfect boat for our needs but this community makes all the difference in the world.
Thanks again for the offer and we might still take you up on it.
Other than the cabin top and windows, does anyone know if there are any differences in the hull between an MKI and MKII that need to be taken into consideration when building a custom trailer?
Maybe it doesn't matter that my new boat is an MKII.
