Just to let you guys know (cause I know you were worried about me) I did make it back from Salt Lake City with our new 89WK. Total trip of around 1800 miles. It was 8 degrees in Salt Lake which made it difficult to inspect the boat without freezing. My half ton 4X4 chev pulled the boat just fine with little to no problems although I would have liked bigger brakes at one point. The boat is now parked under my carport and I am dead beat. The next thing on the list is to sell my fin keel 1983 C25. Anyway I just thought you guys would like to know. Bruce Ebling
It's not often that we get a window of nice weather in February like the one we are having this year.. On the beach here in NW California, it's been as nice as Summer (well, except for the frosty mornings)

Bruce - Glad you made it back okay. Was just wondering where you will be keeping the boat? I can't think of any large bodies of water around Eugene. Will you put the boat in a marina in Portland?

Just to let you less literate know that there is a difference between "dead beat" and "a deadbeat". I still may be the latter, but I know the difference. I sail here in Eugene OR on Fern Ridge Reservoir where the wind blows all summer. I have been sailing Fern Ridge and the San Juans for the past 18 years. I hope to rely on this forum to help me do the many repairs on my new vessel. I know one of the plexi windows is cracked and the hull needs a serious buffing and polishing. So anyway its good to be home and now I can dig into the inside of the boat (its a mess in there) I did find a like new fortress anchor today and also "spanker" sail. Any idea of what a "spanker" is (don't get cute) I think it must be a type of cruising spinnaker. Take care and fair winds Bruce Ebling

Don't nobody get their backs up now--I was born down there...
