But, if I had to do it again, I would just buy an ATN. By the time you purchase the snap shackles and other supplies You really don't save that much. At least in my case.....

Not much to the story. I was detaching it from the furled headsail when bingo bango, into the drink it went. Since then I've been using the 3" wide axle strap that came with the boat. It looks something like this...
