This is what I got in email this morning. I'm sure the certified check will be for more than the asking price, and his "agent" will be coming to get the boat.

Hello Seller, I am Joe Spivey by name, I view your posted (BOAT) for sale on www.sailingtexas.com and i am willing to purchase it, i want to know if it is in a good condition, and why you are selling it, I want you to know that my method of payment is by a certified bank check, I like to know if my method of payment is acceptable by you, If so get back to me with your finaly asking price and send some recent pictures.

Awaiting for your prompt reply...

Best Regards

Todd Lewis

You're probably supposed to ship the boat to him, and then send him a bank check for the difference. It'll be about three months later that your bank learns his check failed to clear at the bank in Lagos.

Congrats on the quick sale!

Respond back... saying you are waiting for your check from the Nigerian National Bank to clear, and when it does, you'll call him back with a sweet deal.
