This is the progress that I have made so far. I will be adding more pictures to my album as I go. Next is to remove the panel behind the sink and replace. Then move all the switches to the port side near front of the counter top.

Looks nice. I have a galley closer to that shape on my Pearson and like it.
Where will your stove go?
On my boat the sink is at the end of the counter that sticks out into the cabin. That is a great location, it's really easy to access and would be a lot more comfortable to stand in front of on a Catalina 25.
For a stove I have a portable electric burner and a single burner gas. I can put it anywhere that way.
I wish I had thought about the sink idea like yours. I can see many advantages having it where yours is. I could have even used a larger sink that way. It is a little late now but I feel that I have improved over what I had. Last winter after sailing on a 10 day trip to Key West I knew I was going to have to do something different.
Any other ideas out there would be greatly appreciated.(while I am in the fixing mood. 6 more weeks before heading south with the boat so I still have some time)
Panel behind sink now installed. Can see in my Photo Gallery. Next is making the power panel that was behind the sink and putting it on the port side near counter top. (soon I hope) It's getting really cold again here in MI.
Great idea and execution. Where (on liner or box, etc) did/will you relocate the electric panel? And how did you fasten the new cabinet(s) to the liner?
Thanks. The new electrical panel will be on the port side and to the right when standing at the galley. I hope to have a picture by next week end. I fastened the new cabinets where the old stove used to be plus down the side where the small bulk head was. I also fastened it at the bottom where it meets the settee. A total of ten good sized screws. Plus several screws fastening it to the counter top. The counter top is fastened to the cabinets and the fiberglass under it. I forget how many screws there (a whole bunch and that's just an estimate). It is very solid.
Definitely. I am running new wire the whole length of the circuit to avoid connections in the middle all over the place. Some of the circuits needed to be replaced anyway. So off to West Marine again tomorrow for more wire. (plus look for a new galley light)
The galley is completed. I even shortened the table and permanently attached it to the bulkhead. The wiring is completed except for more cabin/galley lights (this will get done next month in Florida where it is warmer). I am recovering the cushions now and putting on a door for the head. Running out of time. Thanks for all of the support guys.
Wes, you have a number of nice enhancements -- moving the circuit panel I love, the built in cubbies behind the settee backs is a nice use of space and of course expanding the galley. I wish I was as handy, and had an indoor workplace to do such projects. Definitely nice improvements!
