I wonder what Catalina Direct charges for a new one. It just says "call for pricing and availability."

CD has just recently retracted the advertised price. up until recently the price for a new one was $684. $350 is a great price for a cover that is little used with no wear/tear as this one appears to be...

Sounds like a good business opportunity for someone with a canvas machine that knows how to sew!!

I seem to recall reading here that pop top covers can vary in size . . .

starting with hull #5803 Catalina redesigned the deck mold and the poptop, consequently your poptop, OJ, has shorter poptop legs and therefore a different shaped pop top cover....

My Boat is #5737 and has the Universal diesel inboard. I was wondering if yours has the same.

I read the ad for the pop top cover and there may be a mistake in the description as to which model boat it will fit. I am guessing it fits the 89 or newer boats. I would like to have one if it would fit my boat.

Howard,
Our boats appear to be very similar. I do not have an inboard, and I have a solid fiberglass forward hatch, I think those are the only differences.
I looked through your photos online and it appears to me that your boat has the older deck mold, but it is hard to tell. The newer deck molds have a more angular profile to them and the poptop rear ends angle in and are narrower. the most striking difference is the 'step' around the grab rails on the coachroof that adds a couple of inches to the headroom... here is a photo:
https://www.catalina-capri-25s.net/cgi-local/MBR_system.cgi?VM+2166-1636
you can compare this photo to your boat and let us know what you think you have...

Reading the Ebay add makes it very hard to decifer which boat this will really fit, the best bet is to email the seller and see which boat he has? it obviously CANNOT fit all the boats he mentioned from 1987-1997, so either he is incorrect in his thinking or there was a typo in the add.
