I'm not an expert at this, but that did not look like 50-70 kts to me. Based on what I've read in textbooks (I avoid those conditions), it looked like Beaufort force 6.

Yup... Remember that this recovery was about an hour and a half after the MOB. That alone is sobering! Wait for 90 minutes and then reply to this... It's a LONG TIME!
