Hello - Our boom vang shackle to the mast is missing on our 250 WB and I can't remember what it was. What kind of shackle do you have on your vangs? Snap shackle?
Both ends of my boom vang have shackles that are integral to the blocks. It's just a little D-shaped loop of stamped sheet metal stock (<u>not</u> cast) with unthreaded holes in both ends for a clevis pin/cotter ring combination. If you have a similar block, you should measure the dimensions of the attachment and find a compatible replacement.
The piece that the shackle attaches to on the mast has a relatively small hole, so a snap shackle would not work for me because it would not go through the hole. If you want easy removablity without risk of losing a cotter ring or clevis pin, you might try a SS quick link, available at Home Depot. It <u>might</u> fit through the hole, and will not release under load, which I think it preferable for a vang.
