oiled wool sweaters

I am cleaning out some stuff.
I found a couple of oiled wool sweaters in the back of the closet that I bought in the south of england some years ago. Never used - very costly.
I have no use for them here in Florida.
I was going to put them in with the yard sale, and thought that one of you hardy cold weather sailors might find better use of them. They might be perfect for one of you.<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm back and thought I better explain that I am not selling the sweaters, I just want to find a good home for them. With the hopes they will be used for more then work rags..
who ever might be interested I will check this site for the next few days.

Oiled wool sweaters. WOW. I used to have one and they are great. Of course they are not as good as the modern fleece fabrics in wet conditions. I always wore a long sleeve undershirt under mine as they itch a lot.

I'll bet one of our great lakes sailors could use it. Good for shoveling snow, or walking in the woods.

sorry it took me so long to get back to you...
one sweater is "large" and the other is a size "small".
By the way; how do you get the auto signiture to work at this site?

thanks for the reply, Yes the oiled wools are great and I find they had many uses when I lived on the shores of Lake Erie, this was our 3rd. set, and never did get to use them. Your right they are itch,
we also wore silk turtle necks under them...or light weigh cotton long sleeve cottons under the wools.
I hope I can find someone who can put them to good use before the wife has the garge sale.

We sure don't need them here in FL- the high 70's and low 80's this past week.
We are the owners of a C-25, got her in 87, when the Spirit was a year old.
She sits fast a ground right now.
The water in the Indian River is at an all time low...our Marina can't get a permit to dreg till the end of the Manatee season.
We are praying for west winds and lots of rain.

To fill out your signature, you simply(that's a relative term!) go to the top of this page and select "Profile". After entering your password a screen will come up with all of your pertinent data(name, rank, serial number,...etc), and one of these blocks is a signature block. Type in your signature and then select "Submit". If everything goes as planned then your signature will show up in your messages.

After you do that, While writing your reply to a topic don't forget to put a check where it says Check here to include your profile signature.
