What efforts have you been involved with in connection with National Safe Boating Week? I received a BOATUS postcard in the mail a few weeks ago.

Our Vessel Safety Inspectors have set our VSC schedule for the first three weekends of June in Milford and Mystic CT. The United States Power Squadrons all around the country are offering free courtesy checks. Check USPS.org or google your local USPS squadrons for more info.

Let me know if you're sailing in the area and want a safety check. You can reach me on:

btw I got two inflatable lifejackets from West Marine for the price of one during their spring sale. My wife and I love them. My old Mustang is still serviceable, but needs a cleaning. Does anybody have any advice on cleaning them? I can detach the arming device and run it through on the top shelf of the dishwasher... afraid the inflater is not diswasher-safe...
