The idea of making the simple, economical bug screens did not originate with us but was kindly provided by a long time participant on this forum frog0911, Jerry and Sandy Mulvihill, from Fleming Island, Florida, USA
Ever since Gerry and Sandy hosted us in their beautiful waterside home when visiting Florida on our year-long "living on board full time and going south", '06-'07 trip did we use the screens with much pleasure.
Only later, before we spent 5 weeks on the Trent/Severn Waterway did we incorporate some improvements and extended the use of the screens to fit the horizontal hatch as well as the pop-top. http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=24592 "planning for extended cruising"
