Went sailing today on Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho), where it was blowing about 20 to 25 with gusts to 30. Maybe higher. My son and I were having a blast when I decided to jibe, carefully, gently and all that. When the boom came around a gust hit us and shredded my old and now completely destroyed main. I've looked around tonight for a replacement and have found many. Problem is, I need a new one by Friday this week. It's a long shot I know, but does anyone know of a used TR main in good shape? Thanks in advance.

Check the guy from this post. He was trying to sell a bunch of equipment off of a TR. He still had one main listed on that older post. It might be worth the phone call.

If you want one quick, you might try Masthead Enterprises. in St. Petersburg. They show a Rolly-Tasker TR main in stock for 611.00. Click the link and enter 27' in the mainsail search:

Wow you are really paying for in-stock. national sail supply has them new for $620

if you must have cheap and soon. here's one on ebay with a buy-it-now of $240. replace it with new and resell this one in the spring for the same money.

also do not throw away the old sail. sell it on ebay. people will buy it for the dacron, or cut off the head and make sails for smaller boats. My macgrgor dockmate threw away his shredded main. I recovered it from the can later and sold it on ebay for $50. that's half a boat unit for more toys!

In stock sail at Masthead is new. Both sails are brand new Rolly-Tasker. I have purchased sails from both vendors.

Thanks for the tip. I looked on ebay last night and didn't see this post. I bought the sail this am.
