Hi all,
I have the ubiquitous Standard DS-1 depth finder on my 25. It works, but not without problems. The knobs for adjusting it on the front are "frozen". The PO probably left it in the sun, spray & rain forever.
Has anyone run into this problem? I was wondering if there would be a spray that might free 'em up. WD, PB or even CRC electronics spray?
I looked at the Raymarine i50 gauges. Nice, but my $400 is earmarked for the new motor mount and maybe new V-berth cushions.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check Ebay -- you can often find used depth and other instruments at much lower pricing, Ditto, if anyone lists in the Swap Meet that they are parting out their boat you may find what you need.
