The Boathouse restaurant in Ossining opened a Boat Bar !!!

That's how we should treat with the veteran boats

Weird, but cool! Looks like they even have the sail for the canopy.

Safe voyages,

...and it looks like it might have been an nice C-22. Wonder what sent it to that resting place.

They probably wanted an outdoor bar, that one is already basically waterproof and fitted with scuppers, inexpensive, it only needs a coat of wax once a year, and looks cool! If they want refrigeration, it wouldn't be difficult at all to install it in the cockpit lockers. Notice the strip lighting just under the rub rail. I'll bet it looks fantastic at night!

The sail number precludes it from being my previous boat, Desiderata, which I traded for Chick-a-pea. I would not want to see the demise of an old friend, but rather hope she is still sailing in sunny breezes somewhere on a long lost horizon.

Safe voyages,

Iv'e seen half hulls used as bars but nothing like this one. I pity the poor bartender that has to keep ducking to go forward to serve the drinks to those that sit by the bow.I guess thats him on the left in the last photo.

Maybe it was a boat that was damaged in a storm and bought as salvage.
