If you are one of the users like me for whom the search function continues to not work, you may appreciate this workaround that I have been using for the last year:
Go to google.com. Search for "WHATEVER YOU WANT site:catalina-capri-25s.org"
This is a good workaround but is not wholly effective as the forum's search feature was when it previously worked for me. I would expect that Google has indexed the entire forum, but nevertheless some threads do not show up in the search results.
Any idea what causes Search to not work for you? It seems to work perfectly for me. (Chrome under Win-10.) By the way, you have a Google Search option on the left of the forum page, but I agree, the forum Search (above) can be more helpful due to its selectivity.

You can also use the Google search built into the left menu. Our Webmaster added the same Google search you describe and ncluded it into the menu. We still don't understand why the Forum search doesn't work for everyone.

That hasn't worked for me for months (Google Chrome). On IE, I can find a way like Seth was saying to manually do it.

What does it do when you try? Does it work for you under IE? Can you describe a search that didn't work?

Hey, hey, this is illuminating! The search function I have been complaining about these past months is the forum's Google Search feature in the left-hand navigation bar. I didn't even notice the Search function in the navigation links near the top of the page.
So I tested the Search function at the top of the page: it works! Yay!
If anybody cares about fixing the Google Search function, maybe it needs an update.

It returns a completely blank content frame. The header frame and left-hand navigation frames appear. This is the results for any and all searches.
It has not worked for me with Mac OS X and Safari for about a year, nor with iOS and Safari on Apple mobile devices. I tried it on Windows 7 and IE about six months ago at the office, and it didn't work there either.
To be clear, I'm discussing the forum's Google Search feature in the left-hand navigation bar.
For my purposes, the forum's Search (above) has been more useful, especially given the way you can narrow down to a forum (or not), or even a user. All responses are forum threads, rather than anything Google happens to find anywhere in the site.
The Google search was added, as I recall, when the forum's search was being misused in a "denial of service" attack where multiple complex searches were swamping our server and virtually stopping responses across the site. (No, it wasn't from Russia--it was domestic.)
Yup--just tried the Google search--it doesn't work for me, either, but I don't really care.

My experience is the same as Seth's. Frank, if I remember right, is running the same OS X software on a newer machine without a problem so t might have a local hardware issue. It just occurred to me to try it on the Admiral's brand new MB Air.
