I left the ports open during a torrential thunderstorm. came back to the boat to find an inch of water in the head cabin sole , and some in the bilge. How disappointing to destroy my perfect record!
Bummer! That was one baaad storm. Pu came out unscathed, but when we washed her topsides a few weeks ago, we ended up with a bucketfull of H2O in her aft dinette lazarette.

I kept a cover over the cabin top that went around the mast and covered the forward hatch, covered the companionway and covered the windows, too. Made a big difference in keeping the interior dry and protected the teak. Highly recommended.
